Privacy Policy

1. Introduction

SeeSi respects your privacy.

This Privacy Policy explains what data SeeSi processes when you use the app.

SeeSi does not transmit your private self-reflection content, personal notes, answers, or relationship entries to our servers for storage or analysis as part of app analytics or profiling. This content is stored locally on your device.

To provide account access, app reliability, analytics, and subscription functionality, SeeSi does process limited account, technical, and usage-related data as described below.

2. Data We Process

SeeSi may process the following categories of data:

email address or private relay email address provided through Sign in with Apple;
email address provided through Sign in with Google;
authentication-related data required for account registration and login;
diagnostic data, such as crash reports;
app analytics data, such as screens viewed and general feature usage, and only if you have turned analytics on;
subscription and purchase-related data required to support in-app purchases and subscriptions.

SeeSi does not process your private notes, self-reflections, questionnaire answers, or relationship records on external servers for analytics or profiling.

3. Information You Enter About Other People

SeeSi lets you create an entry for a person in your life and answer questions about how you feel around them. An entry may include a name or nickname, a photo, a date of birth, and details such as occupation, city, or lifestyle, together with your own answers about that relationship.

This information is about someone who has not installed the app and has not agreed to anything. We treat it accordingly:

everything you enter about another person is stored locally on your device and is not uploaded to our servers;
it is never used to identify, contact, profile, or advertise to that person;
it is not shared with other users, and no other user can see your entries;
it is not included in analytics or crash diagnostics.

You decide what to enter, and you are responsible for the information you record about another person. Please only enter what you need for your own reflection, and consider using a nickname instead of a full name.

When you delete a person, delete your data, or delete your account in the app, that content and the photos you added are removed from your device.

4. Analytics and Crash Diagnostics

Analytics is switched off until you turn it on. The app does not collect analytics by default. You are asked once during onboarding, and you can change your answer at any time in Settings. If you turn analytics off, collection stops.

When analytics is on, it records which screens are opened and which features are used — for example, that a questionnaire was completed. It never includes the content of your answers, the names or photos of people you added, or anything else you typed.

Analytics also records an approximate region, worked out from your IP address, and an identifier for the app installation on this device. The region is a country or city area, never a precise location, and neither is linked to your name or your account.

Crash diagnostics work separately and are always active. If the app crashes, a report is sent so the problem can be fixed. A report describes the failure itself, along with the device model and operating system version. It does not contain your notes, questionnaire answers, or information about people you added.

5. How We Use Data

We use the limited data described above only to:

create and manage your account;
allow you to sign in securely;
maintain app stability and fix crashes;
understand general app usage and improve features;
support subscriptions and purchase-related functionality.

We do not sell your personal data. We do not use your data for third-party advertising. We do not use your private in-app content for marketing.

6. Storage and Processing

Your private app content, including notes, reflections, answers, and relationship-related entries, is stored locally on your device.

Limited account, analytics, diagnostic, and subscription-related data may be processed by trusted service providers only to support app functionality.

7. Third-Party Services

SeeSi may use third-party service providers for purposes such as:

authentication;
crash reporting;
app analytics;
subscription and purchase support.

These services process only the data necessary to perform their function.

8. Data Control

You remain in control of your data.

Within the app, you may be able to:

delete locally stored app data on your device;
delete your account;
log out of your account;
protect access using a PIN code;
turn app analytics on or off.

Deleting your account removes your locally stored content, including the people you added and their photos, from your device.

Deleting the app removes locally stored app content from your device, but it does not automatically delete your account or server-side account access data.

9. Children’s Privacy

SeeSi is not intended for children under the age of 13.

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13.

If you believe that a child under 13 has provided personal information through the app, please contact us so we can review and address the issue.

10. Changes to This Policy

This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time.

Any changes will be published at this location. Continued use of the app after an update means you accept the revised Privacy Policy.
